*Please check with your insurance provider to confirm your benefits and that our providers are in-network before booking. Patients are responsible for any costs not covered by insurance.

A note on out-of-state BCBS plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Horizon BCBSNJ, and Independence Blue Cross PA include virtual national networks — meaning patients outside those states may still be covered for telehealth psychiatric care. Contact us to verify.

Self Pay

Don't have insurance, prefer not to use it, or your plan isn't listed? We welcome self-pay (private pay) patients. Many patients choose to pay out of pocket for privacy, to avoid insurance records, or because their deductible makes self-pay more practical.

  • Transparent, straightforward session rates — no surprise bills
  • Superbills provided on request — you submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement
  • HSA and FSA cards accepted

How to Verify Your Benefits

Before your first appointment, we recommend confirming your coverage so there are no surprises.

Call Your Insurer

Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card. Ask: "Do you cover telehealth mental health services with an in-network psychiatry provider?"

Contact Our Office

Reach out and we'll do the legwork. Give us your insurance carrier and member ID and we'll verify your behavioral health benefits for you.

Book Your Appointment

Once benefits are confirmed, schedule your first appointment. We'll collect insurance details and handle the claims so you can focus on your care.

Insurance FAQs

Do you accept Aetna?
Yes. We accept Aetna for psychiatric and mental health services. Coverage and copays vary by plan — contact us or call Aetna member services to confirm your specific behavioral health benefits.
Do you accept Anthem Blue Cross?
Yes. We accept Anthem Blue Cross for mental health and psychiatric care. Anthem is one of California's largest insurers and most plans include telehealth behavioral health benefits.

Do you accept United Healthcare?
Yes. We accept United Healthcare (UHC) for mental health and psychiatric services. UHC is one of the largest US insurers and most plans include behavioral health coverage.
Do you accept Blue Cross Blue Shield?
We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania (Virtual National Network). These plans include national telehealth coverage, so patients in California and other states may be covered regardless of the state the plan is based in.
Do you accept Carelon Behavioral Health?
Yes. Carelon Behavioral Health (formerly Beacon Health Options) manages behavioral health benefits for many employer-sponsored plans. If your plan uses Carelon as its behavioral health administrator, we can work with it.
Do you accept Oxford Health Plans?
Yes. We accept Oxford Health Plans for psychiatric and mental health services. Oxford is a UnitedHealth Group company commonly offered through employer-sponsored plans.
Do you accept Quest Behavioral Health?
Yes. We accept Quest Behavioral Health plans. Quest specializes in behavioral health benefits management for employer and health plan members.
Do you accept Optum?
Yes. We accept Optum Behavioral Health. Optum manages behavioral health benefits for many employer-sponsored and commercial plans — if your plan uses Optum for mental health coverage, we are able to work with it.
Does insurance cover telehealth psychiatry?
Yes. Under federal mental health parity laws and post-pandemic telehealth policy, most major plans now cover telehealth psychiatric services at the same rate as in-person visits. All carriers we accept provide telehealth behavioral health coverage. Your copay or deductible will depend on your specific plan.
What if my insurance isn't listed?
Contact us — we update our accepted plans regularly and the list above may not be complete. If we are out-of-network with your plan, you may still receive partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. We provide superbills (itemized receipts) you can submit directly to your insurer. We also welcome self-pay patients.
What is a superbill and how does it help me?
A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and provider information your insurer needs to process an out-of-network reimbursement claim. If we are out-of-network with your plan, we provide superbills that you submit to your insurance company to recover part of the cost of your sessions.
Do you accept HSA or FSA payments?
Yes. Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards are accepted for self-pay appointments. Psychiatric and mental health services are qualified medical expenses under IRS rules, making HSA/FSA a tax-advantaged way to pay for care.
